Sleeping Quarters
During Phase One, all men are provided with a bed in the dorm, a closet, and dresser. In Phase Two, residents are able to move into a private room and their space continues to improve as they progress through the program.

Located in central Colorado Springs, our residential recovery program will offer men struggling with addiction a safe place to take their first step toward recovery. Thanks to our many generous donors, we’re able to provide the structure and time our residents need to stay sober and rebuild their lives.
The Accommodations at Step
Kitchen
Residents are responsible to purchase and prepare their own food — an important life skill to rebuild. They are assigned one shelf in the refrigerator and in a cabinet. Step provides food for new residents until they have an income and offers bi-weekly classes with a nutritionist.
The Bill Daniels Media Room
Dedicated to the late Bill Daniels who was a longtime supporter of Step, our media room gives men a place to relax after a hard day’s work.
Bathrooms
All of our residents share a common bathroom with private stalls and showers. Hygiene is important for health and self-confidence as our men re-enter the workforce.
Laundry Facilities
Step provides residents the use of coin-operated laundry and requires them to clean their clothing and bedding weekly. This is one of many ways our men take personal responsibility.
Fitness Center
Exercise relieves stress, improves self-esteem, and is a great peer recovery activity. Our residents have 24/7 access to a fitness center and weekly personal training.
Spirituality Center
Spirituality is an important part of the recovery process. While Step is not a faith-based program, this Center is a place for residents to explore their spirituality and participate in other holistic activities.
Career Center
Our Career Center provides residents with individual career counseling and classes to teach them how to prepare for, search for, interview for, and land a job.
